Suspect arrested in home burglary; second man sought and reward offered

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Washoe County Sheriff’s detectives have arrested one suspect and are asking for the public’s help identifying a second person believed to be involved in a burglary in the Virginia Foothills.

Shortly after 5PM Saturday, April 8, 2017, dispatch received a report of a burglary at a home on the 13000 block of Rancheros Drive.

April 12, detectives arrested 49-year-old Eric David Maki on two counts of first-degree burglary.

Detectives are looking for information about the second person, described as a man with light complexion and thin build, wearing a gray long-sleeve shirt with black vest, gray pants and tan baseball cap.

Detectives say the burglars were driving a white, late-model Ford F-150 pickup.

Anyone with information about the man is asked to contact the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division at (775) 328-3320 or Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900. Secret Witness is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of a suspect.
