Shocking mugshot of young woman shows ravages of heroin

A shocking police mugshot of a 33-year-old heroin user has shown the ravages that drugs have done to her in the space of a few years.

Debbie Clarke was one of 15 small time dealers picked up by a police undercover operation in Exeter in which two officers posed as addicts.

The operation codenamed Cleft ran for six weeks and targeted runners who were delivering heroin and crack for three drug gangs who operated through ‘county line’ phones.

Clarke was snared by the operation after her house in Exeter was ‘cuckooed’, meaning it was taken over as a base by one gang, and she was sent out to deliver orders and bring back money.

Her reward was a free supply of the drugs which had already wrecked her life, Exeter Crown Court was told.

She has detoxed while in Eastwood Park prison, Bristol, and looked much healthier in the dock that she did in the mugshot taken after her arrest in October.

Clarke, of Heath Road, Exeter, admitted four counts of supplying class A drugs and was jailed for a year by Judge Geoffrey Mercer, QC.

Gilbert Man Murdered for Marijuana: Thugs Staked Out Home, Beat Him to Death

Police arrived too late to stop the crime: They found Mullins bound, gagged, and lifeless.

Torre Sanders, 20, and Jordan Hosey, 17, were caught inside the house and booked into jail on suspicion of first-degree murder, kidnapping, and burglary.

The teen confessed to the crime after being caught, according to a booking sheet by Gilbert police.

Hosey told cops that he and Sanders learned that Mullins was “dealing drugs” and that they watched him while planning to assault him and steal his money and goods. On Monday evening, they drove up to the home on North Cottonwood Court and sneaked into the backyard.

Mullins had a heavy-duty security door at the front of his home. Apparently, from their surveillance they knew he’d come out to the backyard to smoke a cigarette at some point. When Mullins finally emerged for his smoke, Hosey and Sanders attacked him.

From an upstairs patio window, the neighbor had seen the pair enter the backyard dressed in hoodies and carrying flashlights. She saw the men force open Mullins’ back door and take him inside “while continually assaulting the victim,” records state.

She called police, who were dispatched to the home just before 9 p.m. She kept watching and could see the
