This makeup artist is in demand after serving looks behind bars.
Marshala Perkins, 19, said that she has received numerous requests to do makeup since her full glam mugshot went viral following a Feb. 6 arrest, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.
The teen said she had just left her Texas AM University-Commerce dorm room, where she spent her night recording a Facebook Live makeup tutorial, when she was arrested.
“I sat in my car for like two minutes waiting on my friends and while I was waiting, a police car pulled up right behind me,” Perkins told the newspaper.
She was taken into custody after the officer smelled weed and searched her vehicle to find two grams of marijuana.
Police booked the aspiring makeup artist — who still had on pink glitter eyeshadow and fake lashes — into Hunt County Jail on marijuana possession charges.
Months later, her glam mugshot appeared on the Mugshot Baes Twitter account, where the photo went viral.
“We need a tutorial! Free her!” wrote one Twitter user in a post retweeted more than 60,000 times.
