Phoenix Suns wing Josh Jackson was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest and escape Friday night at the Rolling Loud music festival at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla.
The incident, as detailed in the arrest affidavit obtained from the Miami-Dade County Police Department by The Arizona Republic, lists the arresting charges for escape and “resisting officer without violence to his person” as a felony and a misdemeanor, respectively.
The Suns said in a statement that they were “aware of the report and in the process of gathering more information.”
According to the report, Lt. Carl Manzelli, a police officer working an “off-regular-duty assignment” at the Hard Rock Stadium, noticed Jackson trying to enter the VIP section of the hip-hop festival.
Jackson was told “multiple” times he couldn’t enter that area without the proper pass and was instructed to leave the area, according to Manzelli’s account of the incident.
Jackson left the area, but he returned again without the proper pass and was asked to leave.
