Rap artist JayDaYoungan arrested by Florida Highway Patrol for felony possession


Rap musician Javarious Scott, better known as JayDaYoungan, was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance without a prescription Saturday in Gadsden County.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers pulled over a 2015 gray Nissan Altima with four occupants at about 9:20 a.m. for speeding on Interstate 10.

“A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted due to the odor of marijuana emitting from the interior of the vehicle,” an FHP news release states.

In the course of their search, troopers found over 20 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and oxycodone pills. In addition, one of the occupants was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm.

Troopers arrested three of the occupants, including the 20-year-old Bogalusa, Louisiana, celebrity and released the fourth on a notice to appear in court.

JayDaYoungan was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.
