Georgia woman describes growing up in mom’s violent cult

Deep down, she always knew something wasn’t right on the north Florida farm where she grew up. Joy Fluker wanted the answers to the questions she’d always had. But she’d always really known the truth.

Fluker’s parents founded the House of Prayer for All People and invited others to join them at the rural compound, promising a better life through Biblical teachings. But those who came left with a dark secret they would keep for four decades. Fluker’s mother — known as Mother Anna — physically tortured the residents, leading to serious injuries and the death of at least one child, according to police.

Earlier this year, Fluker did what had once been unthinkable, she reported the behavior of her mother, Anna Elizabeth Young, to police. She was one of several people to come forward and in November a Florida grand jury indicted the 75-year-old on a charge of premeditated murder in the death of a young boy known as Moses. Young was arrested the next day at the Cobb County home where she had lived more than 15 years. Authorities labeled her a “cult leader.” Police believe countless others were victims

Police in Georgia arrest Utah mother charged with murder of 13-day-old son

WEST JORDAN, Utah — A Utah couple has been charged with murder and child abuse in the death of a 13-day-old baby, and authorities confirmed Sunday the baby’s mother was arrested in Georgia.

According to court documents filed Friday, 26-year-old Maria Elena Sullivan and 21-year-old Dylan James Kitzmiller are charged with one count of first-degree murder and three counts of child abuse as second-degree felonies in the death of Sullivan’s infant son.

Sgt. Marianne Kelly of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia confirmed Sunday that Maria Sullivan was arrested without incident. She said Sullivan was seeking treatment at a hospital, where the staff became aware that she was wanted and informed a police officer who works at the hospital part-time.

That officer arrested Sullivan and booked her into jail on a fugitive warrant. Kelly said Sullivan will appear before a judge in Georgia before the question of her extradition to Utah is addressed.

Saturday, Sgt. Joe Monson of the West Jordan Police Department confirmed Kitzmiller was arrested late Friday night without incident.

Gill said while they don’t suspect Sullivan caused any of the abuse directly, she still faces a murder charge.

“Both of them were charged because

Jamal Anderson — Locked Up In Georgia After Gas Station Penis Debacle (MUG SHOT)

1222-jamal-anderson-mugshotEx-NFL star Jamal Anderson is back behind bars … stemming from a bizarre incident at a Georgia gas station when the former Falcons star allegedly whipped out his penis in front of the clerk.

TMZ Sports broke the story … Anderson was issued a criminal trespassing ticket for the incident — and now we’ve learned a warrant was issued for his arrest because officials believe he violated his probation.

Turns out, Anderson was on probation from a 2014 DUI conviction — and part of the probation required him to stay out of trouble with the law. Officials clearly believe the ticket was a violation.

Anderson was taken into custody on December 19th and is being held at the Gwinnett County Detention Center until his hearing in January … when a judge will decide his fate.

It’s just the latest legal issue for Anderson who’s been arrested multiple times since he wrapped up his NFL career in 2001.
